The difference between Flynn/Briggs and lets say best case scenario Mac turns into a Nic Nat-esque ruckmen isn't that great, what's ultimately going to determine the productivity of the midfield is the players at the ruckmens feet and if a combo of Flynn and Briggs ends up being a B+ compared to an A+ for Mac (unlikely but we'll go with it) then that's not really going to change the trajectory of this team that much unless Mac also develops into a really quality forward as well.
